What does insurance need for a hospital bed?
A face-to-face visit (not telemedicine), a prescription with a qualifying diagnosis, and your height and weight. Your doctor’s note needs to explain why you need positioning that isn’t possible in an ordinary bed. Providers can find the exact wording on our Provider Section.
